Our A.S.C.E.N.D. program kicked off with a special “Think HBCU” theme.
On Saturday, September 26, 2015 the Programs Committee
welcomed students and their parents to come to the event in college
attire as they reviewed the program objectives, timelines, and
expectations. Parents departed shortly after completing some
paperwork and the students enjoyed a discussion about community
service, an introduction to the Model UN program, and a review of
career opportunities and college life. Members of Alpha Phi Alpha
Fraternity, Incorporated joined the ladies in a Think HBCU parade of schools to culminate the event.
Omega Alpha Omega has more than 40 students signed up for their A.S.C.E.N.D. program.
