Please see below for the various scholarship opportunities made possible through the Alliance for a Brighter Community (ABC) Foundation. ABC Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Omega Alpha Omega Chapter and an IRS designated 501(c)3 and Texas Non-Profit Corporation. 2019 ABC Foundation Scholarship

ABC Foundation is proud to offer the 2018 ABC Scholarship for students living in the boundaries of and attending high school in the following school districts: Frisco ISD, Little Elm ISD, Prosper ISD, Denton ISD and The Colony High School.

Purpose:

The 2019 ABC Scholarship is offering one (1) $2,500 and (1) $1,500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who plans to enroll and attend a four-year college or university in the fall of 2018. The scholarship may be applied toward tuition or books. The purpose of the ABC Foundation is to enhance the educational development for underprivileged and at-risk students; provide financial assistance to students pursuing further educational development; and sponsor programs that will support the target service areas of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®. The ABC Foundation is the non-profit branch of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Omega Alpha Omega Chapter that ensures the chapter’s ability to raise and disburse scholarship funds and to raise funds for impactful community programs.

 

2019 ABC Higher Education Scholarship

ABC Foundation is proud to offer the 2018 ABC Scholarship for students currently attending college. 

Purpose:

The 2019 ABC Scholarship for current college students is offering one (1) $1,250 scholarship to a student currently enrolled and attending college at a full time status. The scholarship may be applied toward tuition or books. The purpose of the ABC Foundation is to enhance the educational development for underprivileged and at-risk students; provide financial assistance to students pursuing further educational development; and sponsor programs that will support the target service areas of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®. The ABC Foundation is the non-profit branch of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omega Alpha Omega Chapter and ensures the chapter’s ability to raise and disburse scholarship funds and to raise funds for impactful community programs. 

 

2019 Patrice Withers-Stephens HBCU Scholarship

Patrice Withers-Stephens is the Inaugural Chapter President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Omega Alpha Omega Chapter, which was established in 2015. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, she attended and completed college at North Carolina A&T State University as a first generation student. As a result of her superior experience during her college years she has become an advocate of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). She counts it a privilege to be able to support those who take pride in furthering their education at an institution that promotes a rich history of excellence.

This scholarship is made available through the Alliance for a Brighter Community Foundation whose purpose is to enhance the educational development for underprivileged and at-risk students; provide financial assistance to students pursuing further educational development; and sponsor programs that will support the target service areas of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. 2019 Tuere Davis Williams HBCU STEM Scholarship

Purpose:

The 2019 Tuere David Williams HBCU STEM Scholarship is offering one (1) $1,000.00 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who plans to attend a historically black college or university and major in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Biology, Physics, etc.). This scholarship is made available through the Alliance for a Brighter Community Foundation whose purpose is to enhance the educational development for underprivileged and at-risk students; provide financial assistance to students pursuing further educational development; and sponsor programs that will support the target service areas of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Omega Alpha Omega Chapter that ensures the chapter’s ability to raise and disburse scholarship funds, and to raise funds for impactful community programs.
